01

The assignment

A contractor’s website has to answer practical questions before it can earn an inquiry: does the company handle this work, cover this location and understand the project? CMF also needed a digital capability for the estimating side of the business. The project brings those needs into a public service website and a private operational system.

02

A large website with a readable structure

Hundreds of pages sit beneath a service-led structure. Electrical work is divided into distinct needs rather than compressed into one general description. Location information gives those services context, while builder information serves a different audience from a homeowner looking for a specific task.

03

Trust close to the decision

Credentials have a visible place in the experience. The visitor can move from understanding the service to checking the business and then sharing a project. This makes the inquiry a continuation of the information on the page.

04

Intake with useful project context

The public estimate form asks about service, location and project details. Plans and supporting information help frame the conversation. The design gives a customer a structured way to explain the work before the first exchange.

05

CMF BELL: the operational layer

CMF BELL is a private automated estimating system. It extends the engagement beyond the public website into the business’s estimating work. Public discovery and internal estimating are separate parts of the project, each with its own purpose.

06

The delivered experience

Customers have a substantial service resource and a clear inquiry route. CMF has a public presence organized around its work and a private estimating capability behind the operation. The result demonstrates how a website engagement can extend into business software.

What the project brings together.

Service structure

Separate service and location pages beneath a shared navigation.

Project inquiry

A route from service information and credentials to project details.

Private estimating

CMF BELL supports automated estimating within the business.

From the brief to the structure

Two jobs. One business.

The public website helps customers explain a project. CMF BELL addresses the separate work of preparing an estimate.

  1. 01

    Find the service

Service and location pages organize a large public website.

  2. 02

    Explain the project

Credentials and project information lead into a structured inquiry.

  3. 03

    Prepare an estimate

CMF BELL is the private automated estimating capability within the engagement.

What you can inspect
